Questionbank Scraper

I was a private tutor for about 2 years during my early college years teaching IB HL Maths, HL Physics, HL Economics, as well as general English. There was a nifty question bank that had a bunch of IB past paper questions, categorizing them by subject, level, topic, and even difficulty. Given that I was tutoring at least 4-6 students a week, and each student had unique learning needs for different concepts and subjects, I had to spend hours every week digging through the question bank just to find the right questions to go over with each student.

You can imagine how insanely time-consuming and draining this was. Eventually, I got so fed up with the inefficiency of this and I learned how to use Selenium to build a web scraping tool to automate this process for me (Shoutout to Tech With Tim, his Selenium tutorials were amazing). This tool helped me save an unbelievable amount of time so that I could better utilize it on other aspects of my tutoring like optimizing my students’ study plans and watching Netflix. The time I spent per week selecting questions was cut down from hours to just 5 minutes!

Unfortunately, I didn’t upload this project anywhere and I lost my files on that system a while back :( While I don’t have the code for it anymore, I still have a lot to share about the project if you’d like to know more. Just ask me.
